::My Style::
My style is more of a casual journalistic approach, where capturing the feeling of the individuals in the picture and life's surroundings replace props and generic backdrops.

I strive to capture the feelings of the individuals involved in the photo session and portray those feelings through the photo itself. Thriving off the energy of the people in the session is something I adore and having fun is key to a good session.
I love capturing the little moments and the unique love and feelings that each individual and family provides. I truly am up for almost anything...so LET'S HAVE FUN!

::Scheduling a session::
You can schedule a session by emailing me at feelingthephoto@gmail.com. I am located in Southern California but make frequent trips to Iowa and Utah for clients based in those states. I'm willing to pretty much travel anywhere needed, just email me and we'll go from there.

::Payments::
All payments for any session will be required at the time of the session. A non-refundable fee is required when booking your wedding session. The fee will be determined based on the total fee of the wedding package. This fee will be applied to your total session cost.

Currently I accept two forms of payment. You can pay via Paypal using the email address feelingthephoto@gmail.com. You can also pay via check. Please make checks payable to Erica Grover.

::When will my pictures be completed?::
Typically your session proofs will be delivered within 3 weeks from the completed session date with the exception of weddings. A timeline for wedding proofs will be discussed with the client after the wedding session has been completed.

::Clothing Guidelines::
My motto in clothing is this: simple goes a long way! I like to keep the focus on the subject; therefore, simple clothing choices are best for creating timeless portraits.

I suggest loose fitting solid colors, avoiding busy patterns or logos/words. Bare feet are especially fun, and kids love it too. If your child prefers, shoes can be worn as well. Consider dressing in the color white or any other light color sparingly, for this color often reflects light strongly.

Pops of color in accessories or making colors flow instead of match is a favorite of mine as well.

::Children/infants/toddlers/newborns::
Bare skin is my favorite on newborns and babies. You may have other clothes to put on baby, but keep in mind; baby may get grouchy when there are too many clothing changes.

I suggest bringing a few outfits that you are considering and allowing me to help you make the final choice on what would best suit the look and feel you are going for in your child's portraits.

::Family Sessions::

Family photographs are special, a legacy of whom your family was for future generations to enjoy. Clothing choices are just as important for family sessions, as other sessions. I highly suggest clothing for each family member that has the same tone, not necessarily the same color. Please be wary of stripes, plaid, words and logos on your family's clothing. These things can be a distraction from your beautiful family. Oh, and bare feet are great for family sessions too!
Clothing choices are important. As your photographer, I want those who view your pictures to see who the individuals in the pictures are, and not just what outfit they were wearing. Clothing should compliment your look, not complicate it.
